Psychosophy Test: Understand Your Four-Letter Stack

Understand Logic, Volition, Emotion and Physics, how psychosophy relates to AP, and what our free AP quiz can tell you.

7 min readTestPsychosophy TestAttitudinal PsycheAfanasyev

Searching for a psychosophy test often leads to Attitudinal Psyche resources because both use four aspects and 24 possible orderings. The shared letters are useful, but they do not make every questionnaire equivalent. This guide explains the notation and points to our free AP quiz while keeping the distinction between the frameworks clear.

What is a psychosophy test?

A psychosophy test explores attitudes toward Logic, Volition, Emotion and Physics and proposes an ordering of those four aspects. Codes such as LVEF and FEVL describe positions, not a ranking of intelligence or human worth. Interpret the result using the definitions of the particular framework and questionnaire you took.

If you want an English-language starting point, take our free Attitudinal Psyche quiz: about six minutes, no signup. It is TypeMyVibe's independent AP questionnaire, not an official psychosophy test or a translation of Afanasyev's questionnaire. The free result links to a stack profile; a longer report based on your quiz answers is optional and paid.

Where psychosophy came from

Psychosophy is associated with Alexander Afanasyev and is also called Psychoyoga in some resources. Its vocabulary groups experience into Logic, Volition, Emotion and Physics. The four-letter code records an ordering of these aspects. English resources can use different names or translations, so check the definitions before comparing results from different sites. In particular, Physics here concerns the bodily and material domain, not the academic subject; Volition concerns will and direction, not physical energy alone.

The 24 psychosophy types

Because each of the four functions can occupy any of four positions, psychosophy produces exactly 24 unique stacks — the same combinatorics as a four-item permutation. Each position carries a distinct emotional charge, not just a rank:

1st position — Confident, settled

The function you lead with. It feels effortless and obviously true; you rarely doubt it and can be blunt about it without noticing.

2nd position — Confident, flexible

Strong but adaptable. You use this function in service of others, adjusting your approach rather than insisting on one way.

3rd position — Insecure, the sore spot

The function you care about most and trust least. Criticism here lands hard; praise here is disproportionately meaningful.

4th position — Unbothered, the blind spot

Genuinely low priority, not repressed. You'll happily defer this domain to someone else without any sting to your ego.

A stack like LVEF (1st Logic, 2nd Volition, 3rd Emotion, 4th Physics) reads very differently from FEVL (1st Physics, 2nd Emotion, 3rd Volition, 4th Logic) even though both share the same four functions — the order is the entire signal.

Psychosophy vs Attitudinal Psyche: related frameworks

Attitudinal Psyche and psychosophy share four-aspect notation and 24 possible orders, but AP has its own definitions and theory. A shared code is not proof that descriptions or test scores are interchangeable. Current AP resources use Expression for E, while Emotion remains common in psychosophy and older AP material. TypeMyVibe's quiz uses AP-oriented confidence and engagement scales, and its linked profiles should be read in that context. For the primary terminology, consult the official AP theory overview rather than assuming that one framework is simply a renamed copy of the other.

Start with the Attitudinal Psyche guide for the full framework, or jump straight to a specific stack — for example LVEF (The Theorist) or FVLE (The Patron) — to see how one stack reads in practice.

What to check before trusting a psychosophy test

Before taking a questionnaire, check what it actually offers: which framework it uses, how the score is produced, whether the result is free, and whether it explains uncertainty. These questions matter more than the length of the form or a promise to find your true type.

Check the framework

An AP questionnaire is not automatically an original psychosophy questionnaire. Read the aspect and position definitions before transferring a code between them.

Look for scoring details

A result should explain what its numbers mean. Our quiz reports positions on its own scales, without a norming sample or a validated accuracy percentage.

Notice close calls

A narrow confidence or engagement gap may change the ordering. Nearby stacks are useful comparisons, not competing diagnoses.

Use examples, not stereotypes

Think of repeated situations across contexts. One confident message or one anxious conversation is not enough to establish a position.

How the TypeMyVibe AP quiz works

Our free AP quiz asks you to rate statements on a five-point agree/disagree scale. It scores confidence and engagement separately for each aspect, directly in your browser. It is a self-report starting point, not an official psychosophy instrument.

1. Answer for ordinary behavior

Think of recent examples across more than one setting. The quiz saves progress on your device and needs no account or email.

2. Compare confidence and engagement

The two higher confidence aspects form the first pair. Engagement separates first from second, and third from fourth in the remaining pair.

3. Read your stack and alternatives

The free result shows the code, scores and nearby possibilities. Starting checkout submits your answers to generate an optional paid AP report. Site analytics can separately record quiz interactions; see our privacy policy.

How to find your psychosophy type without a Russian questionnaire

You can begin with the English-language AP quiz on this site, then read the profile for your result and its nearest alternative. Remember what you took: an independent AP questionnaire, not a translated original psychosophy test. Compare descriptions against recurring examples in your life, and keep distinctions between the frameworks visible. There is no need to accept a code simply because a test printed it.

Examples to reflect on, not a typing rule
Reasoning-focused example

“The plan depends on the delivery date. Let's check that assumption before deciding.”

Uncertainty-focused example

“I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. Can we talk it through?”

Reading your result

Read each position with the framework's definitions in front of you. A code such as LVEF places Logic first, Volition second, Expression or Emotion third, and Physics fourth. Changing one pair can change the interpretation substantially, even when the underlying scores were close. Our AP profiles describe everyday examples and possible mix-ups; they are prompts for reflection. They do not establish a diagnosis, ability level or a fixed identity. If a description does not fit, compare the nearby stack and the assumptions behind the questions before deciding the test must be right.

FAQ

Quick answers

Is psychosophy the same as Attitudinal Psyche?

They are related frameworks with shared four-aspect, 24-ordering notation. Their definitions and interpretations are not automatically interchangeable. TypeMyVibe offers an independent AP quiz, not an original psychosophy questionnaire.

Can I take a related test in English for free?

Yes. Our AP quiz at /test/attitudinal-psyche is free, takes about six minutes and requires no signup or email. Its result should be interpreted using AP terminology.

How many psychosophy stacks are there?

Four aspects arranged in four positions produce 24 orderings, written as codes such as LVEF or FEVL.

How accurate is the TypeMyVibe AP quiz?

It is a self-report starting point without a norming sample or validated accuracy percentage. Check nearby alternatives and compare the descriptions with your experience.

Does TypeMyVibe chat analysis return a psychosophy stack?

No. Current chat analysis reports MBTI, Enneagram, Big Five and Alignment. The AP quiz and optional paid AP report use questionnaire answers.

Why do I see Emotion and Expression for the same letter?

Emotion is common in psychosophy and older AP resources. Current AP calls the E aspect Expression. Read the definitions in the source you are using instead of assuming every use of E means exactly the same thing.
